Posted: April 3, 2025It was a significant privilege to serve as the keynote speaker for the Association of People Supporting Employment First (APSE) in Oklahoma City for 2025. I expressed my gratitude to the 160 attendees for their dedication to advancing inclusive employment. I emphasized that their commitment to engaging in discussions about inclusive employment represents a vital aspect of their professional achievements. My remarks centered on creating unique identities for individuals with disabilities, highlighting their capabilities, and celebrating these attributes as competitive advantages for organizations. I extend my sincere thanks to Judi Goldston, OK-APSE President; Melissa Gituma, Programs Manager III, Employment & Adult Day Services Developmental Disabilities Services at Oklahoma Human Services; and Ryan Stewart, Marketing and Communications Coordinator for Developmental Disabilities Services in Oklahoma, for inviting me to deliver this timely and important message to such dedicated professionals. Please refer to my conference remarks and hear from the professionals who attended the conference to discuss the impact of my address on their future work.
